SF Station Blows It Up

1. Scott Masson of the Office @ Popscene, San Francisco, December 13, 2007

Chi-Town hit San Francisco last Thursday night with Office and made Popscene dance. With glam infused rock that resembles ELO and Queen (without Mr. Mercury) but still with solid music and great hooks, their infectious sound made everyone around me sing. It was a great show.

2. Luke Pritchard of The Kooks onstage @ Bimbo’s, San Francisco, December 16 2007

Just like in their song “Matchbox” the Kooks are "out in the street and...gonna steal your signs.“ And man did they steal some. With a full house for Alice radio's In Wonderland concert, the boys from Brighton kicked ass even though it was a sit down show -- something I am sure they're not used to playing being that they sold over 3 milion records and are bigger than life all over the world. Luke and the boys showed their ability to play any room with driving drums and guitars.

3. 106 KMEL presents Alicia Keys @ Ruby Skye, San Francisco, December 17, 2007

Stopping on her world wind promo tour, R&B songstress Alicia Keys returned for an intimate show at Ruby Skye last Monday night to promote a new album As I Am and simply destroyed it. Although you may not consider Alicia Keys a rock star in the literal sense of the word, she most definitely proved that she is one this night. With brilliant vocals and an amazing backing band she made 1000 people swoon.
