SF Station Blows It Up

Australian rockers Silverchair played a very sold-out show at The Independent last Sunday night. It surprised me how dedicated all of the fans were; some showed up as early as 8am to reserve a good spot. Daniel and the boys blew me away performing some amazing metal sounding songs, which is a refreshing change from their usual radio-friendly singles.

2. Cold War Kids @ The Warfield, San Francisco, November 17, 2007

Long Beach hit The Warfield with a vengeance last Saturday night when the Cold War Kids hit the stage. With their own brand of blues rock the foursome made the place swoon to every note. With Nathan Willett's ability to tell a story through not only his words but his body and guitar to Matt Aveiro's drums that made your feet stomp, these boys are something to keep your eyes out for.

3. Fran Healy of Travis @ The Fillmore, San Francisco, November 20, 2007

With one of the most impressive entrances I have ever seen, Scottish rockers Travis hit the stage at the legendary Fillmore. Walking in through the crowd dressed like prize boxers the boys made their way to the stage and rocked the house. Franís ability to drive each tune into your head and make you move to the beat, created a wonderful show.
