SF Station Blows It Up

Philadelphia’s Dr. Dog returned to San Francisco to a packed show at The Independent last Thursday night and threw the rock and pop down. With great melodies and rhythms from their current album We All Belong they drove the crowd to a place where sound turns to matter.

2. The Go Team @ Mezzanine, San Francisco, October 19, 2007

Powerpop hit SF with a vengeance at Mezzanine on the 19th when the UK’s The Go Team stepped onto the stage. With an energy that would make even James Brown loose his breath (God rest his soul), Ninja and the rest of the guys simply don’t stop. From the fist tune to the last it was hit after hit; the energy was palpable and the fans returned the favor.

3. Paul Banks and Carlos D of Interpol @ Bill Graham Civic, San Francisco, October 20, 2007

Once again the boys in black returned to San Francisco this time to a huge crowd awaiting them, and they most definitely pulled out all the stops. From Carlos’ bass, which is almost like a metronome to Paul's haunting voice, it was a hell of a show. Promoting their current album Our Love to Admire, they killed it.
