SF Station Blows It Up

1. Chino Moreno of the Deftones @ The Warfield, San Francisco, July 2, 2007

The Deftones are a band that is hard to classify and in my eyes they are their own mish mash of sound . Last Monday night they definitely proved that they can still rock a crowd because from the first sound out of Chinoís mouth the entire floor became a mosh pit. With an impressive light show and an even more impressive sound, the boys from Sac showed the crowed that they were still on top performing songs from their current album Saturday Night Wrist.

2. Chris Cornell @ The Warfield, San Francisco, July 10, 2007

Chris Cornell returned to the Warfield last Tuesday night in another incarnation. The former Soundgarden and Audioslave front man hit the stage as himself and blew the crowd away. As I looked around the building and saw the mix of people -- young, old, frat boys, and indie kids -- all screaming and singing along to every note, I realized Chris is God to these people. The show was to promote Chrisís solo album Carry On.

3. The Klaxons @ Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, July 11, 2007

The UKís Klaxons returned to SF to play a very sold out show at the Great American Music Hall Wednesday night. I have to say from the start Iíve shot a lot of shows but the Klaxons fans are definitely some of the most crazed kids; they rushed the stage like there was no tomorrow and moved to every note and beat that came from the stage. The boys looked in good spirits and fed from the energy of the crowd. Their unique sound has been described as new rave but in my mind it canít be classified and should just be left as The Klaxons.
