SF Station Blows It Up

1. Nelly Furtado @ Paramount Theater, Oakland, June 21, 2007

Going to see Canadian songstress Nelly Furtado at the Paramount Theater last Thursday night was an interesting experience. With a huge stage and a full band and dancers backing her, Nelly sang her heart out on stage as she performed new and old tunes and even some covers. This was little more than just a concert with Nelly changing her outfits fours times to match the tunes that she was belting out (thank God cause the first dress was something out of the movie The Fifth Element). But overall it was a great show.

2. Norah Jones @ The Greek Theater, Berkeley, June 23, 2007

The sultry singer/pianist blew into the Berkeley’s Greek Theater last Saturday night and dazzled the audience with her voice and keystrokes. Norah’s voice filled the air as she played songs from her current album Not Too Late playing both the piano and guitar. She even walked out with her opening act M. Ward to do some tunes that really gave the audience a set up for how good her show was.

3. Feist @ The Fillmore, San Francisco, June 27, 2007

Canadian impresario Feist hit the stage for the second of two sold out shows at The Fillmore Wednesday night and a hell of a show it was. With her beautiful voice and enchanting guitar rhythms, she stirred the crowed into a melodic stupor, stopping a few times to interact with them only to restart and make all present hope that the music would go on forever.
