SF Station Blows It Up

1. Jamie Foxx @ The HP Pavilion, San Jose April 14, 2007

Last Saturday the triple threat comedian, actor and singer Jamie Foxx was in the house at San Joseís HP Pavilion to entertain. Performing a shot comedy routine to relax the crowd was an up and coming comedian called Speedy as well as Jamie himself. Once the show was off Jamie performed songs from his current album.

2. Dave Brubeck, live onstage @ Masonic Center, San Francisco, April 15, 2007

The legendary jazz composer and pianist walked on to the stage in front of a sold out crowd and blew the roof off the place. He first jammed to all original pieces with his quartet then performed with a big band to all of his famous scores. The place was in dead silence every time his hands touched the ivories.

3. James Mercer of The Shins, live @ The Warfield, San Francisco, April 17, 2007

Sitting in the lobby of The Warfield waiting for the Shins to hit the stage, I could feel the fans' anticipation and, I admit, I was feeling it too. The three-night stint was to promote their brand new album Wincing the Night Away out now and as soon as Mercer and the boys hit the stage the place went wild.
