SF Station Blows It Up

1. Travis Barker @ DJ AM’s Birthday Bash, Mezzanine, San Francisco, March 30, 2007

Adam Goldstein better know as DJ AM had his birthday bash last Friday at Mezzanine and what a party it was with Dj Fashen opening the night with some groovy hip hop beats. Mickey Avalon and crew hit the stage to get the girls screaming for some “Jane Fonda” and finally AM and Travis Barker doing a drum/DJ thing that simply killed it. The twosome mixed rock, hip hop and everything in between to move the crowd into a dancing and screaming mess.

2. Brett Dennen, live onstage @ The Independent, San Francisco, March 31, 2007

With light rock on the brain Brett Dennen is one solid rocker. I am sure you’ve heard the tunes of this rising star in commercials on TV and on a few shows. For the encore song Brett invited Jason Mraz onstage and the crowd went bananas -- it was one hell of an end to a great night of music.

3. De la Soul, live @ Ruby Skye, San Francisco, April 3, 2007

The Legends of intelligent hip hop hit the stage with some classics and some new stuff and the place went standing on its head. De la rocked the house with some amazing guests like Prince Paul and Black Sheep. Maseo and Prince Paul cooked some beats on stage as Dave and Posdnuos tossed their lyrical salad.
