SF Station Blows It Up

Homecomings are so sweet and when Audrye Sessions hit the stage last Thursday night at Popscene it was no different. Rolling melodies, simple guitars and pulsating drums filled the room as Ryan Karazjia’s voice filled my ears. The Sessions' ability to seamlessly take us on the lows and highs of life is something great and beautiful.

2. Tom Chaplin of Keane, live onstage @ Berkeley Community Theater, Berkeley, January 27, 2007

Keane returned to the Bay Area at full throttle. The last time I saw these guys was at the Fillmore (with only 1000 people) just a few year ago and now they’re at Berkeley Community Theater, which is way, way bigger. The boys put on a hell of a show, with amazing lights, sound and all the other hoopla that comes with a large stage show. The lead singer, Tom Chaplin's, voice is so enchanting that even I began to move my hips and bob my head.

3. Tech N9ne, live onstage @ The Independent, San Francisco, January 29, 2007

Hip Hop has become synonymous with jewels, cars and bling. Well Tech N9ne is not one of those MCs and when he hit the stage at the Independent everyone in the building knew why. Rapping about life, love and our everyday lives, his MC skills could only be compared to people like Ice Cube, Nas and EasyE. The flows came like a perfect stream of thought.
