1. Aesop Rock, live onstage @ The Independent, San Francisco, July 6, 2006

Backpacker hip-hop is alive and well with hometown hero Aesop Rock. With his first performance since his move to the bay, Aesop has proven that he is the man of the rhyme. Sold out Independent hosted Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic and Murs, who performed some of their classic hits and new material. 2. Aja of Nico Vega, live onstage @ Vintage 415, Mezzanine, San Francisco, July 7, 2006

Nico Vega is another child of LA that you have to keep an ear out for. The threesome sounds like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Duke Spirit's love child. With incredible stage presence of lead singer Aja and killer strumming of the guitar of Rich these kids will soon take the world of music by storm.

3. Mickey Avalon, live onstage @ Vintage 415, Mezzanine, San Francisco, July 7, 2006

So go on line and check him out.
