SF Station Blows It Up

Maximo Park is another import from England with screaming vocals and a sound that is hard to pigeon hole. They are currently supporting The Bravery on their tour around the states and I have to say these boys can be the headliners any time they want. Paul Smith's (vocals) looks and voice reminds me of Ian Curtis and with every sound he let's you know why.

Pop Punk or whatever you want to call their sound, The Bravery is very good at it, and no one that's ever seen one of their shows can say otherwise. With lyrics that tell a story and guitars that just dont stop, they drive the fans into a frenzy. Performing their hit singles and some new songs in front of this compacity crowd at the legendary Fillmore is no ordinary task and they did it with such ease. With girls asking them to marry them, to guys that want to be them, these kids from NYC are are on their way.

The Arcade Fire, simply put, is mind boggling. With an almost theater-like cast of instruments. Every instrument is a character and each song an act in a play. As I watched the performance it pulled me in with every note and every word.
