SF Station Blows It Up

1. She Wants Revenge, backstage @ Popscene, 330 Ritch, SF, August 25, 2005

The newcomers She Wants Revenge are already ruling the air waves with their single "Tear You Apart". I have to say they are as good live as they sound on the radio. As you listen to them you are reminded of bands like Sisters of Mercy and Joy Devision with electronically driven, intelligent vocals that cross genres. With fans that scream and faun over every word and stomp their feet to every note played on the keyboard, these guys are a must see.

2. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, live on stage @ The Greek Theater, Berkeley, August 26, 2005

Waiting for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers to take the stage and watching the thousends of fans that filled the Greek Theater was definitely something to see. As Petty walked out screams rang out with joy. Beautiful light filled the Greek with every note that was strung on Petty's guitar as fans cheered and begged for more. This sold out crowd got a show of a lifetime with oldies as well as never- before played songs performed by one of the most prolific rock icons of all time.

With his simple lyrics, melancholy transitions and powerful guitar, he transformed the air in the room into moving pictures that bewitched the audience.
