The Two Gallants are a SF-based duo who's punk and rock sound tends to rip into your soul. Well atm least at their May homecoming at Great
American Music Hall they did just that. People were going nuts as they sang word for word along with the band.

2. MIA backstage at The Independent, May 14, 2005

Well this media darling was an hour and a half late to the show. She played her entire set within an hour and that was that. But I do have to say that she is damn good. Her vocals and the beats carry a crowd and the message in her lyrics can be life changing or at least they make you think...

3. Yasuko O. (vocal) Melt Banana live on stage @ The Independent, May 17th, 2005

Japanese punk is a phenomenon that has been around for decades and has been a constant reminder of the intense culture on this small island in the pacific. I have to say that Melt Banana is definitely a great example of that. With strong baselines and fast and hard vocals they stir a crowed in to a frenzy. You haven't seen a punk
show until you've seen a band play ten songs in two minutes.
