Local Comedian Kaseem Bentley Hosts Free Album Release Party

Bay Area stand-up comedian Kaseem Bentley is releasing his debut album, Lakeview, this week via Blonde Medicine; inviting fans to join his album release party on May 3rd at iL Pirata, in the grey area where the Mission becomes Potrero Hill.

Kaseem, who was born in San Francisco, specifically in the Lakeview neighborhood, projects high-energy storytelling on his album, touching on racism and the evolution of San Francisco. If you’ve seen him live, he usually familiarizes himself with the crowd, sharing sly observations and honesty, pulling no punches. Kaseem typically draws his material from the audience, sharing strong opinions that can sometimes come off as slightly antagonistic. But given his good nature, he usually disarms even those who disagree with him.

Kaseem developed a no-holds-barred style of comedy thanks to his parents’ sense of humor. He previously performed in bars and clubs all over the city, but has also had appearances on Comedy Central, Viceland, Nerdist, and Seeso.
