In the world of cocktails, there’s no substitute for the Bloody Mary—a true savory standout that nourishes just as much as it elevates. The classic brunch drink, often the ground for creative garnishes and twists, is in the center of the Bloody Mary Festival, a nationwide event coming to San Francisco on September 29th, for its fifth year.
For the San Francisco addition, the festival will feature creative and unorthodox Bloody Marys from the likes of Elite Cafe, The Saratoga, Portal Gastropub in Oakland, Horse Feather and more. Food trucks will be announced soon, but be sure to expect a live music performance, a competition for the ‘Best Bloody Mary’ in town, judged by local beverage aficionados and guests; plenty of bacon and celery flourishes, and lots of horseradish.
