Converse Brings a Week of Free Shows to Slim’s

For five nights later this month, Converse shoe company will take over Slim’s for a free “Represent” concert series with Hot Chip, Deltron 3030, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and more.

The June events are intended to spotlight five different genres of music that best represent San Francisco and its residents.

The week of free all-ages shows leads up to the grand opening of the new Converse retail store on Market Street on June 28.

Hip-hop super group Deltron 3030 (Dan the Automator, rapper Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and DJ Kid Koala) along with British electro-pop dance band Hot Chip, and “trippy” rappyer Juicy J and Suicidal Tendencies with Rocket From the Crypt lead the eclectic lineup of artists scheduled to perform June 23-27.

June 24 – Deltron 3030, Juicy J, Blackalicious, Angel Haze, Special Guest

June 25 – Hot Chip, Tycho, Blackbird Blackbird, Social Studies

June 26 – Quicksand, Mastodon, High On Fire, Saviours, Hot Lunch

June 27 – Suicidal Tendencies, Rocket From The Crypt, Ceremony, Special Guests
