Skrillex Replaces Justice at ‘Secret’ Show

Our friends at Eye Heart SF just dropped a few cryptic details on a secret Justice show coming to San Francisco, March 28.

UPDATE, March 28: It’s the EDM story of the week that won’t die… Video Game company Notch announced today that Diplo was added to the bill for the show scheduled to start at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in just a couple of hours. Here’s the trailer for the party:

UPDATE, March 27: It looks like Justice won’t perform at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium after all tomorrow after the French duo had trouble entering the United States. The message from Notch: “As Notch just announced on twitter, Justice is unable to get into the country. In their place, Skrillex will be headlining what is sure to be another amazing .party(). We apologize for the last minute change, and hope to see you here. If you’ve already received an RSVP confirmation it’s still valid – just show up as planned.”

UPDATE, March 26: The RSVP is closed and confirmations have been set for the Justice DJ set scheduled for San Francisco on Thursday at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The show, which also includes appearances by Destructo and the M Machine, is open to those with confirmations starting at 8:30pm, when doors open.

Confirmation is nontransferable and attendees are welcomed on a first-come-first serve basis until the venue is at capacity. The show was organized by Notch, the video game company responsible for introducing Minecraft to the world.

For those stuck outside, it’s not much of a consolation, but Justice is releasing a live album on May 7 to keep fans occupied until their next run through the Bay Area with this version of “On’n’On”:

The 14-track album was recorded in Nîmes, France, last July during the French duo’s “Audio, Video, Disco” tour. More on the tour from Jay Z’s “Life and Times” documentary series:

MARCH 8 report:

Here’s what we know, so far:

“It’s a free, 21+, invite-only event taking place in San Francisco on Thursday, March 28th. Featuring a headline DJ set by JUSTICE and supporting sets by Destructo and additional “Special Guests” to be announced.” There’s a link to RSVP, but were not sure how that fits with the “invite-only” clause. More details soon.

It sounds like it could be a fun, intimate show, considering the French duo’s most recent Bay Area gigs were a sold-out show at Fox Theater and a massive co-headline set at Outside Lands in 2012.

  2. Who dat?

    1. They meant skrillex

  3. The emails say “non transferable” though I’m not sure how they’re gonna check that unless you print the email headers.

  4. Hey, I honestly don’t think it matters who’s on the list but, I can forward you the email I got. The email says that once they hit full capacity they won’t let anyone in. Let me know if you want me to forward it or not.

    1. Can you forward the email to me? I never received confirmation either.

    2. pls forward me the email [email protected]

  5. Maybe you should have bigger dreams, dude…..

  6. I rsvp’d the first day I received the email and have not received any notice of whether or not I am on the list. I have friends who got the invite days after me who received info and now I am the one left in the dark. I think its is unfair that I registered to be on this list and have not gotten any feedback. It has been my dream to see Justice. I feel like I have been played by eyeheartSF and it makes me not want to participate in anymore of their events.

    1. Your dream is to see Justice? This is whats wrong with our society.
