Hometown hip hop legends Hieroglyphics celebrate the city that helped launch their careers, showcasing new and old talent during a free daytime party in Oakland on Labor Day, September 3.
Celebrating the local community as well as hip hop culture, the event aims to recognize past accomplishments as well as look to the future and engage local youth.
The idea for the event was started when a fan contacted Hiero rapper Casual, saying 9/3 would be a good day for celebration based off Souls of Mischief’s hit “’93 Til Infinity”.
The Heiroglyphics and Parish Entertainment Group present the first annual Heiro Day music festival on Monday, September 3 from 11am-6pm at San Pablo and 17th Streets in Oakland.
