Half Price Wine At Luella

Luella’s (1896 Hyde Street) is one of the classiest restaurants in scenic Russian Hill, featuring an impressive selection of inventive dishes and local wines. But it just became even more alluring, with a Tuesday special that will be offered every week throughout the Spring: all bottles of wine on their extensive list will be 1/2 priced, all night long.

Personally I’ll be headed there next Tuesday to check this out for myself, as it seems almost too good to be true. Luella already won me over as a fan based upon their food selection which includes standouts like short rib lasagne and and Coca-Cola braised pork shoulder. Half-priced wine is an awesome cherry on top, not to mention an incredible way to wash down some of these savory entrees.

The chefs at Luella also do some spectacular things with seafood; their Ahi tuna tartare tacos are as scrumptious as they are unconventional. The Agnoletti with rock shrimp is likely to rock your taste buds more profoundly than any mere ravioli that you’ve ever tasted. The polenta fries are also masterful–crunchy and satisfying, like Italian French Fries.

With so many popular dishes to choose from, it’ll be easy to find the perfect bottle of wine to pair with your dinner. And at half the price, the bill will be twice as light on your wallet.
