Curry Up Now Opening New Restaurant, Food Truck

The ever-popular Curry Up Now crew is expanding next month with the opening of a new restaurant and food truck.

According to the group’s website, they plan to open a new restaurant on El Camino and 23rd in San Mateo on April 1 and a food truck with the same name as well, The Dosa Republic.

Curry Up Now already has several food trucks serving the entire Bay Area and opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant last year on South B Street in San Mateo.

Expect a bit of a different menu this time around. Below is a sneak peek.

Appetizers:

Samosa Roll-Choice of Potato/Chicken/Beef

Served with strawberry habanero chutney

Idli served with young coconut chutney + walnut pesto chutney + tomato chutney + madras gun powder + sambar

Kale & Scallion Vada served with young coconut chutney + walnut pesto chutney + tomato chutney + madras gun powder + sambar

Baby Idli Manchurian

Panko Crusted Jalapeno stuffed with Goat Cheese & Dates

Served with chili aam papad chutney

Utappam Tacos-Paneer/Tofu/Chicken/Beef

served with young coconut chutney & sambar

DOSA-A Crepe made from Rice & Lentil served with a trio of chutneys-young coconut chutney + walnut pesto chutney + tomato chili chutney,  sambar  and salad.  Our Dosas will be stuffed with a choice of:

-Tangra (China Town, Kolkatta)-Chili Gobi or Chili Chicken + Maggi Masala Noodles + Asian Veggies

-Sinhala (Sri Lankan)-Chicken or Paneer Sambal + Young Mango + Bombay Potato

-Jerk (Jamaica)-Chicken or Pork Belly or Portobello Mushroom + Plantain

-Amreekan (American)-Egg + Ground Beef + Bacon + Kale + Habanero Jack Cheese

-Purani Dilli (Old Delhi)-Egg + Lamb Stew + Bombay Potato

-Mumbaiyaa (Mumbai)-Pau‘less’ Bhaji + Bombay Dust
