Michael Tusk of Quince and Cotogna fame has served plenty of celebrities and foodies alike. But on February 16, the award-winning chef will have the honor of preparing dinner for a fundraiser for President Barack Obama.
The dinner, which will be a small gathering at the San Francisco home of novelist Robert Mailer Anderson and his wife Nicola Miner, will emphasize Tusk’s signature Italian and French-inspired cuisine.
He will also feature seasonal ingredients from Northern California farms. Tusk is a supporter of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move program, which promotes better nutrition and access to healthy and affordable food for kids, so he hopes the dinner will keep in tune with that initiative.
Below is some of what the menu will include:
Tortelloni filled with Barinaga Ranch basseri cheese and wild nettle
