Youth global media company VICE has teamed up with old guard computing corporation Intel for a sizeable two-day arts and technology event to be held at Fort Mason March 17-18. Attendees can anticipate live performances from a legion of up-and-coming bands, interactive panel discussions, film premieres and a number of striking multimedia art installations courtesy of Creators belonging to The Studio, an online platform dedicated to innovative artists whose works share an intimate connection with technology.
In store for San Francisco is a gigantic audiovisual installation by electronic composer Scanner entitled Origin, Strata #4 by Quayola, and Six-Forty by Four-Eighty by Zigelbaum & Coelho. Other Creators and artists that have been associated with The Studio include Neon Indian, Karen O, Jonathan Glazer, Hussein Chalayan, Animal Collective, Chromeo, Spank Rock, Michael Stipe, Li Wei, Spike Jonze, Casey Reas and many others.
