  1. Congrats to Marlene Hild, the winner of two tickets to see The Kooks tonight at The Fillmore. Maybe we’ll see those bellbottom pants? ;)

Thanks to everyone for participating and check back soon for more giveaways. You can find more here, too: https://www.sfstation.com/giveaways/

  2. The kookiest present I ever got was a sex ed BOARDGAME.

My parents let me suffer with embarrassment, but never even played it with me… We were living in Toronto, not even sure if you can get that game in the US….

  3. My now ex (then boyfriend) gave me a couple bars of soap one year because someone told him that women like toiletries. He never lived that one down.

  4. An exboyfriend of mine thought it was a good idea to get me a living social for botox. OUCH! Needless to say I didn’t keep him around for much longer.

  5. I recently just received a box of laxatives with a mini travel size bottle of Patron after a White Elephant exchange. -.-

  6. My high school friends visited me one year in the dorms, and i made the mistake of leaving them alone. When i came back, the entire room was covered in Christmas and Halloween decorations! AND, they had hidden a 30 pack of condoms all over the room. They were falling out of my books and my jacket pockets. They were even taped on the outside of our window which was near impossible to reach.

They left the same day and wished me a merry christmas…

  7. One day I received a promisingly heavy package from my friend who was studying abroad in Hong Kong. Inside was a postcard and… a bag of sand from a beach in Bali. She wrote, “Sand from a sandy beach for a Sandy friend.” I wish I had a different name.

  8. One year i got a kama sutra for the elderly book. I was only 19.

  9. I have to work every holiday so I usually get cards or care packages from family and last year they got me the original bad christmas sweater and a pair of socks.

However, this last year I think tops them all as they got me a ever so large pink crystal paper weight….what do I do with that when I work behind a bar? One could only tell. It has however made for a nice door opening prop lol! Ahh parents always keeping us back in the 80’s.

  10. One year my grandmother gave me a keychain with the name Sharon on it. That’s nice and all, but my name is Shannon!

  11. Last Christmas my Grandma gave me a pair of white-green-yellow-red plaid, wool bellbottom pants that belonged to her cousin back in the 70s. They fit me perfectly, but I’m not sure I’ll ever find the “right” occasion for them!

  12. One year the only thing I got was a tap light and vodka chocolates. That’s it sad part was the tap light didn’t even work…O_o

  13. when I moved away for college my mother’s friend gave me a book titled “retirement : investing in your life”

Gee thanks, cash would’ve been fine.
