Mission Tacolicious Set to Open

Fans of Tacolicious on Chestnut Street will have a second option for their taco fix when a new location opens in the Mission on Valencia Street on November 28th.

Mosto, the adjoining tequila bar, will be focusing on mainly small bar bites (at a soft opening, they offered two really tasty tacos: the Al Pastor, featuring pork and pineapple and the De Nopal, filled with veggies), but the real draw is the extensive tequila and mezcal list. There are 300 tequilas being offered by the glass and carafe. They are all served traditional style, with sangrita and a pickle back to shoot it with. Mosto will also be doing mixed drinks and will eventually have both beer and wine on tap. Non-tequila drinkers don’t fret. There will be a few other options as well, such as rum, vodka and bourbon.

The actual restaurant part of the two-headed operation, Tacolicious, will be opening on Monday, November 28. It was scheduled to open earlier this month but was held up by problems with PG&E, which left it without power. Like the original, the newest location will feature eight tacos, along with a number of snacks and other small bites.

Both Mosto (5 p.m. – midnight) and Tacolicious (11:30 a.m. – midnight) will be open daily. The restaurants are located at 741 Valencia Street in San Francisco’s Mission District.
