Halloween at SusieCakes

Sure, Halloween’s all about the scary stuff with the witches and devils and haunted houses. But there’s also the sweeter side of smiley carved pumpkins and five-year-olds tripping over the tails on their costumes while yelling “Trick-or-Treat!” amidst uncontrollable laughter, plus lots and lots of candy and fun Halloween-themed desserts. And if you’re looking for ghost-shaped cookies or pumpkin cupcakes, you’ll find them at the SusieCakes bakery in the Marina.

All month, SusieCakes is offering special Halloween treats such as pumpkin maple cupcakes ($3) and a variety of fun cookies in shapes like spider webs and candy corn ($3). On Halloween, they’ll also be celebrating with a day of give-aways and spooky tunes.

On Monday, October 31st, come by SusieCakes from 10am until 7pm to pick up a complimentary SusieCakes bag for trick-or-treating. The first five customers who come into the store and make a purchase will score a free half-dozen cupcakes, and anyone dressed as Susie or a SusieCakes team member will get a free dozen. (Haven’t been to a SusieCakes shop yet to know the uniform? Check out pictures on their Facebook page. Hint: the costume has three components.)
