My personal favorite–Il Cane Rosso–is open seven days a week in the Ferry Building, serving up some of the innovative, old-world cuisine that made them such a hit this past Saturday. At the festival, chef and proprietor Lauren Kiino was on location whipping up some spareribs and garlic bruschetta. The 8$ bite was clearly the biggest bang for your buck that day and you could have easily been full after just that one dish. Fennel, sage, garlic and onions were added to a slathering of porchetta fat and applied to huge racks of meat, grilled right in front of your face.
