Need New Dancing Shoes? Win a Pair from Chrome & SF Station

SF Station and Chrome have teamed up once again to offer you something pretty essential to your every day life…dancing shoes! Well, you can use them for everyday activities as well, like walking to class or to work or biking over the bridge and through the tunnel. But what sets the brand new All City collection apart from the rest are the interesting musical undertones…and of course the durability and longevity you’d expect from Chrome.

Win These Shoes

So how do you win these fancy new shoes?

Tell us how you would use your brand new shoes in the comment section below.

Two lucky winners win a pair of either the Riverton OR the Southside.

Contest ends Tuesday August 23rd at 5pm.

Contest has ended, winners will be announced shortly.

Win These Sweet Dancing Shoes

The All City collection includes the Riverton and the Southside.

“The Riverton is named after the town that gifted us Blues pioneer, Son House and is our sitting on the porch, sipping on some sweet tea, leather chukka.”

“The Southside is brother to the Riverton. What began with the Blues in the South, became Jazz in the North. Named after Chicago’s South Side neighborhood, our Southside is a tribute to the origins of Jazz and what eventually became the shaping agent of Hip Hop. This is an authentic street shoe with oiled full-grain leather for durability.”

Both of the All City shoes “combine style and comfort with the highest quality materials available to withstand the demanding elements of the city.”

Good luck and may the best answer win!

Comments

  1. Stepping out and powerwalking no doubt!

  2. I would give them to my son who could sport these around college..he’d have the best looking feet around!!

  3. Congrats to Brooks who won a pair of the Southside Chrome Shoes and Sara for winning a pair of the Riverton Chrome Shoes! We’ll email you w/ details on how to get your winnings!

And again, to all who entered, this was fun, let’s do it again soon! We’ll have some more sweet prizes for you coming up here on Pulse.

  4. Thank you to all who entered! We will be announcing the winners shortly.

    1. THANKS I HAD FUN WITH THIS CONTEST.

  5. I would put on my new Riverton/Southside shoes with nothing else but a black speedo and an SF Giants cap, and walk from the Bayview all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. Then I’d hail a cab to the End Up where I would dance until dawn. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

  6. I will give them to my fiancee and get down on one knee and propose back to him with them. Then since he loves new shoes he will put them on and do a new shoes dance with them for me. (It’s similar to an Irish Jig) :)

  7. I would rock them all over the city, showing the tourists what SF is all about as I spontaneously break out into dance and create a flash mob dance party that originates organically from my funky moves moving through the crowds. It’d be like the Pied Piper but funkier and without anyone dying at the end. But to do it I need these shoes as I know they can stand up to the demands of that level of awesomeness.

  8. You ask what would I do with these fine kicks?

Well, first I would put them on and proceed to dougie and crypt walk simultaneously while Walk This Way by Run DMC is playing.

Then I would rock my All City’s in the City(San Francisco) first stopping at the Cheesecake Factory to stuff my face and ending up at the hottest club in the city to show off my new kicks.

And lastly, hide them from my fashion obsessed brother who may get the inspiration to match them with one of his outfits and I’ll never see them again.

  9. Hmm, leather. Bummer. I’d see if I could trade them in for a bag. Chrome makes nice bags.

  10. Kickin’ it southside, I’d slam the TL,

Rockin’ and jammin’ like a cabbie down Fell,

Greasin’ up and teasin’ up the town in a day,

Phone’n it and Chromin’ it all down by the Bay,

So, I’m walkin’ up all down Embarcadero at night,

My fresh n’ new kicks are stunnin’ ladies at sight,

When I look to my left I see some thugs on the street,

They be illin, n’ grillin, n’ checkin’ my feet,

I say ‘yo b’s, my chromes these!’ They lookin’ me down,

I run and grab a cab to get all outta this town,

If anything I’d say there was a smell in the air,

But I thought now forget it, “yo home to bel-air!”

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight,

And I yelled to the cabbie “yo, holmes smell you later!”

Looked at my Chrome shoes, and I was finally there,

To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel-Air.

And that’s how I’d rock it on the SOUTH SIDE!

  11. Dance is the language all dancers can communicate thru. By wearing the right pair of kicks, the right movement, the perfect freeze mid air can be accomplished with no effort..dancing the night away to the right beats..and the priceless comments from friends and potential new friends..whoa! where did you get those fresh kicks?!

  12. I would use a pair of these bad boys to dance everywhere and anywhere in San Francisco! I can’t help but to move and I need a good pair of shoes so I never have to stop! They will also be perfect for getting me to and from my performances!

  13. I’d use ’em. A lot.

I already am a hardened Chrome bag user, and that just adds the finish to my bicycling commute (as well as rest of the day) wear.

I also might use them to showcase how pimpwear can be upscale yet casual.

  14. If I were to win those pair of shoes, i will totally show them off at school. Also, every time i go out on special occasions, which is often.

  15. I’d wear these at my job at California College of the Arts so I can look cooler than all the new students that start back next month!

  16. I’d lace these bad boys up in the morning. Walk these pimpin shoes down the street to the bus stop. Kick my feet up on muni so people can stare at them while they stand. Get to work and cut some hair while I tell all my clients how awesome my new kicks are. Then I’d go to dance practice with the homies and tell them how dope it is to dance in these shoes and to buy their own… Go to the club, mesmorize people with my fancy footwork, and probably end up meeting some fly hunnies because my Rivertons are sooo fresh and sooo clean!!

  17. I’d be using this to kick trouble to the curb and to stride in style towards my musical goals!

  18. If I won the Rivertons I would walk everywhere on my hands, saving these kicks for the dance floor.

  19. Yo Give me some of those tan southsides. I would use those shoes to fight crime in. I also would save babies, rescues cats from trees, and help old ladies cross the street. Size 13 please.

  20. I would wear my new Chrome Rivertons or Southsides with my Chrome jacket while playing blues riffs on my Gibson.

  21. serious ADD makes me walk with an insatiable wanderlust. once wore out a pair of shoes in two and a half days!have no REAL shoes right now. can’t even do my little drum-step dance cause my feet hurt so much. I WANT TO PARTY!

  22. These shoes would be so cool to wear while wandering around in Venice, Bologna, Staffolo, Loreto, Macerata, Florence, Ostia, and Rome while touring Italy with the Band!

  23. Southside look awesome. I have to wear too many boring, stodgy shoes for work but these could slide by as ‘dressy’ if you don’t look too closely. Southside subversion! Woo hoo!

  24. I would rock these shoes every where I went to. They would go well with my chrome bag . Pease hook it up

  25. I would rock those shoes at my next food cart or underground dinner event so that ppl could be like “omg those shoes are so ill” and i could be like “i know brah. I know” and they could be like “where did you get them from dude man?” and i could be like “Chrome brah.”

    Mike

PS – Only w/ Riverton’s would this sitch go down

  26. I like these in the dirt, in the grass, on the sand and pounding cement. From the trails of Land’s End to the bleachers of Giant’s games!

  27. I’d strut in the Riverton’s in central america where red sole could translate at ‘soul network’

  28. I walk all over San Francisco sketching the people & architecture of the city. The Southsides look like a comfy fit for the miles I walk sketchbook in hand.

  29. Oh, yeah…with the Southside street shoe underside, I’d trip my way to the “Windy” and dance to the jazz sounds of my friend Spidie Saloff at Katerinas.

I’d go a bit easier with the Riverton’s, deck strutting aboard the “Son House”, up the muddy “Lazy” for that Chicago rendezvous.

  30. I’m going to be in Seoul, Korea this fall until the new year 2012. I want to rock these shoes in the hip-hop scene since it has become the new mecca for breakdancing. I am a dancer and would like to represent USA flava or swag while i’m bringing something to the dance floor against the Korea natives. It would be nice to share a piece of america in another part of the world.

  31. I’d sport them to school. I’m a high school teacher. Sometimes you gotta show the kids that nobody is ever “too cool for school.”

  32. These would be all for my boy whos got moves only when he’s riding round the city! Or in bed…..and in that case I will allow the shoes to stay on!

He might do a happy dance when he sees I won him some dope shoes!

  33. I’d wear the “Southside” along with my favorite jeans and stand cool by the bar at my neighborhood watering hole!

  34. I would hit the clubs and do the running man all night. Onlookers would pass through 5 distinct stages of emotion.

    1) Mild amusement: “Oh look, someone’s doing the running man. What a light-hearted allusion to a simpler time!”

    2) Mild annoyance: “Okay, it was funny at first, but now he’s killed the joke.”

    3) Deeper amusement: “He’s still doing the running man!? His dedication to the move is surreal and hilariously absurd.”

    4) Profound disgust: “The f*** is wrong with that guy?”

    5) Acceptance: “Who’s that guy?” “Oh, that’s just the running man.”

  35. IF I HAD EITHER PAIR OF THESE ALL CITY SHOES I WOULDNT STAND AGAINST THE WALL ANYMORE AT THE CLUB. ILL PROBABLY DO THE MOON WALK

  36. I’d wear them while trying to spin kick people as I walk down the street drunk. I turn a little aggressive after a couple of drinks…

  37. I’d wear them while getting lap dances at the gold room noon buffet, then I’d climb all over Yerba Beuna Center, then maybe I would kick hipsters of their bikes in the mission, the NY Times crossword puzzle, and then end the day in Dolores Park with a six pack and good friends telling them I all the things I did because I won a pair of shoes.

  38. I would throw out a pair of my boyfriend’s old chucks for these. It’s beyond retired, we gotta upgrade him.

  39. I would wear them everywhere I’m broke as F and need some new shoes hook it up pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

  40. How would I use them? I’d use them to make people jealous. They’d be saying “I wish I were in his shoes”

  41. I would gift these to the single most carefree dancer I know. My brother in law. He dances like his 6’3 body and limbs have no impact on a packed dance floor.

He deserves some good dancing shoes.

  42. I would use these sweet kicks to actually have a pair of comfortable good looking shoes to wear while I’m on set all day! And of course I would revel in all the comments I would get from them

  43. I would give them to my boyfriend, who is in need of both dancing and bar-tending shoes. He has worn holes in his current pair.

  44. OH wow, i want to win these….

I will be wearing the Riverton OR’s while I DJ, jumping around and making other people dance. I will be in my dj booth, sporting these cool shoes, making everyone jealous so they will go out and buy a pair….

    dj Kurty :)
