The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District has approved a pilot program to host several mobile food trucks at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal starting next month.
The district will be working with Marin County-based Event Bank to provide five trucks at the terminal from May through September on Friday afternoons and evenings.
While the program will only provide nominal revenue for the district, officials said that it will provide more food choices and promote the ferry service to people who may not use it.
The trucks will be selling food to both passengers and the general public.
If the program is successful, officials said it could be expanded in the future.
