After several delays, San Francisco’s burgeoning ice cream scene has a new, fresh face with the opening of Smitten Ice Cream, the first business to open at the Hayes Valley Proxy Project.
We took a look at Smitten late last month and at that time, owner Robyn Sue Goldman said she had hoped to open on April 1. But a few setbacks delayed the opening until this past Tuesday.
Goldman said the flavors will change frequently, depending on the freshest ingredients that are available at local markets.
The Hayes Valley Proxy Project is starting to take shape as it played host to street food vendor Chac Mool over the weekend and Ritual Roasters has started building its own shipping container for business.
