Morning Beat: A Tough Choice

Music fans have a tough choice tonight as bands from both sides of the Bay set up shop at two of San Francisco’s best small rock venues.

Switchblade Riot @ Bottom of the Hill

Do you like your rock loud, fast, and aggressive? You won’t want to miss Oakland’s Switchblade Riot and their “New Year’s Hangover Cure” show at Bottom of the Hill. These guys are seasoned from consecutive years on the DIY Stage at the Warped Tour, but don’t expect whiny teenagers in tight jeans. This is grownup punk rock, unleashed and untamed. More info

Boneless Children Foundation @ Hemlock Tavern

A bit more melodic than Switchblade Riot, Boneless Children Foundation make their way to Hemlock Tavern. Look out for songs ranging “from simple, poetic creations, to hard-hitting punk rock sideshows.” More info
