2011 is quickly shaping up to be a good year. Noise Pop Festival is right around the corner, and after an early lineup announcement in December, the festival has confirmed it’s full lineup for February.
Some highlights include Dan Deacon who is one of the most animated, and interactive electro musicians (also a hilarious dude if you’ve never seen this). Also, Beast Coast, a surf pop band from the highly laudable label, Mexican Summer, will be performing alongside Wavves for what should be one most anticipated shows.
For those that aren’t the biggest fans of indie rock and electronic, Peanut Butter Wolf and Dam Funk will jive and jook with a heavy blending of hip hop and funk.
Lastly, San Francisco’s own Tamaryn, a lo-fi group that would make Karen O smile, are one of the many great bands that make me proud to say I’m from the Bay Area.
