16th Annual St. Louis Art Fair

In every city there lies a unique culture, which is often reflected in art galleries, fashion design, music and architecture. The city of St. Louis is no different, and particularly favors art culture, celebrated every year at the St. Louis Art Festival in the heart of Clayton's Central Business District. The SLAF has a strong mission statement: “to create access to a broad array of visual and performing art experiences” and to “nurture the development and understanding of diverse art forms and cultures.” That said, the SLAF is ranked 4th in the 2009 Art Fair Source Book’s Top 25 Fine Art Events and 5th in the Nation according to “the 2007 Harris List of the Nation’s Best Fine Arts and Craft Shows.” The SLAF is open to the public and free of charge.

The SLAF features work from artists in all different mediums, including ceramics, digital art, drawing & pastels, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, 3D mixed media, 2D mixed media and wood. The festival also features musical and performance artists on three different stages (Forsyth, Main and Performing Arts). Art collectors and admirers alike are encouraged to come check out the festival’s wares, bask in the waves of St. Louis art culture, and perhaps learn a thing or two about themselves along the way.
