Zootopia 2014 is an exciting evening featuring music, fine dining, and adventure all served in the historic Lion House – a unique one-night-only opportunity to enjoy the majesty of exotic endangered species while feasting on eclectic food and wine.
Chaired by Michelle Molfino and Corey Hyde, Zootopia 2014 will honor Pamela Joyner, gracious supporter of the San Francisco Zoological Society and San Francisco Zoo Auxiliary. Pamela has underwritten the first two years of the Auxiliary’s well-attended Birds of a Feather Luncheon and is known far and wide for her generous support of the San Francisco Zoo. We are thrilled to celebrate her tireless work for this special community.
Participation in Zootopia will advance the Zoo’s mission to connect people with wildlife, inspire caring for nature, and advance conservation action. Each year, the San Francisco Zoo welcomes more than 800,000 visitors, of whom 300,000 are children who benefit from programs such as:
ZooMobile – a transportable “zoo” that brings porcupines, owls, and other animals to 10,000 school-aged children to inspire students’ interests in life sciences.
Little Learners Project, ZooArt and Animal Adventures – science-based programs that introduce over 2,000 preschool children to animals through play, song, art, and animal encounters.
Wild About Art and Science Annual Program and Contest – Science and art curricula helping students at 54 San Francisco Unified School District schools learn about featured animals as accredited science projects and produce related artwork.
Your support will also help the Zoo animals to thrive (for example, food for a single giraffe each year is more than $5,000), as well as enable the Zoo to continue its wildlife rescue activities. More than 15% of the Zoo’s collection are rescue animals.
All tickets include a multi-course menu with carefully curated wine pairings. Benefactor tickets for Zootopia 2014 are $1,000 each and include premium seating at dinner and a luxury gift.
