A single guesthouse located on our ranch surrounded by the forests of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We are located in the Mid-peninsula Regional Open Space District on the San Francisco Peninsula made up of nearly 60,000 acres of natural beauty along the California coast. Just over the hill from Palo Alto and the Silicon Valley is your secret escape. Minutes away are the charming towns of La Honda and Pescadero. Whether you are looking for a quiet respite from work, or outdoor activities, all hiking, climbing, cycling, kayaking or nothing at all are at your doorstep.
With massive timbers to create a soaring interior, our guesthouse was bult in 1992 a few years after the main house. Today, it serves as a respite for extended family, friends and our guests. The guesthouse includes a great room, single bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. The great room has a pool table, library, woodstove, and a dining area. Within the housing area, we also have a mostly year-round vegetable garden and orchards. In the evenings, you can enjoy an open fire under the stars.
We serve breakfast of freshly baked goods, fruit, coffee and/or tea. Other seasonal options are often available from our garden.. Special requests can be considered.
The ranch is self-sustaining. With a full array of solar panels, water is sourced from 3 private wells and wood fired heat. WiFi is available. AT&T and Verizon phones have reception at most times. There is no television..
