The Flytrap restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in San Francisco dating back to the late 1800's. Located in SoMa, just a few blocks away from the Moscone Center and Yerba Buena Center. We got our name over a hundred years ago because the owner back in the day would put samples of food on display covering it with flytraps because of the horses and carriages that roamed the streets at the turn of the century. The locals started calling it the "flytrap restaurant". Over 135 years later here we are. Come in and help support a little of San Francisco's legacy.
