ATISH

Atish Mehta is a San Francisco-based DJ that loves to dance and make people dance. Combining his diverse taste in music, his natural ability to read a party vibe, his charismatic stage presence, Atish walks the line between a party DJ and a DJ's DJ. Atish cites Lee Burridge, Danny Howells, and Dan Bell as his biggest DJ influences, and they shine through in his "journey" approach to DJ sets. His taste covers deep house, tech-house, nu-disco, and retro synth jams, and given enough time, he's not afraid to cover all these genres over the course of a night.

Atish grew up in the Chicago suburbs listening to house music on the radio and playing suzuki-trained violin from age five. Over the years, he played in marching bands, jazz bands, rock bands, and even had a stint as a hip-hop producer. Atish eventually came full circle back to dance music after exploring the rock scene in LA then moving to San Francisco.

Since then, he's co-founded house-heads, a San Francisco crew focused on throwing underground parties at legendary Compound, and he's had a hand in throwing parties across the country with listed productions. In the last year, he's earned a monthly residency at 222 Hyde, had several mixes featured on Proton Radio, started a monthly radio show Deepartures on etn.fm, and become a regular at the Compound. His musical range has led him to open for acts like Lee Burridge, Craig Richards, Guido Schneider, Desyn Masiello, Troy Pierce, and Dyed Soundorom, to name a few. 2011 is a strong year for Atish with several notable appearances including BPM festival in Mexico, listed Tikki party in Miami, and lovefest in San Francsco…

HUMAN RESOURCES

Human Resources are the new wave, dance rock band from Charleston, South Carolina. The band utilizes a contemporary approach to writing and producing its music, incorporating new tones and technologies to create accessible songs that are deeply engrained with dance and heavy groove sensibilities.

Well-known for their parties in the Middle East and California's West Coast, Cyril Bitar and Ahmed Elwan quickly connected, as they shared a like-minded vision. Their complementary acumen in music and culture spawned the right recipe for rhythmic harmonies and luscious melodies. Leaders behind underground events, such as Clinic Wednesdays, Minimal Effort, and CapsuleM LA. Cyril and Elwan have emerged as a dynamic duo, also known as Human Resources. This duo's style not only matches, but compliments the ambience of their parties. Having played all over California, as well as Beirut, Cairo and Turkey, Human Resources combines Californian style with Middle Eastern patrimony linking together to devise a one-of-a-kind sound that enthralls the listener. Taking guidance from artists such as Acid Pauli, Adriatique, Aidan Levelle, Audiofly, Dixon, Damian Lazarus, Droog, Tale of Us, Fur Coat and labels such as Get Physical, Culprit, Supernature, Innervisions, URSL, Cityfox, Akbal, Pokerflat, Hot Creations, All Day I Dream, Rebellion, Crosstown Rebels, and many more; Human Resources administers raw, yet lively and sexy, vibes that resonate throughout. In 2016 they plan to make their production debut and release their highly esteemed EP adhering to the guidelines set forth by their predecessors earning them respect without delay.

BENJAMIN K

It’s a booty shakin sort of a thing.

A small town boy at heart, Benjamin was born and raised in Colorado, graduating from college in the small mountain town Durango, CO. With influences of everyone from Sasha to Prince, Whitney Houston to Tale of Us his sound is best described with two words...lust and love. After making a name for himself behind the decks, playing alongside heavy hitters the world over, and working to throw and host absurd theme parties that were consistently sold out and ample amounts of strange…..he decided it was time to pursue the life of happiness for real, packed his bags, quit his career teaching, and moved out to San Francisco. Now with just three years under his belt in the city, he’s been able to pick up where he left off….and then some. Creating a monthly in the city called ‘You’re Welcome’, bringing in some old and new favorites from all across the underground, and all across the world, has catapulted him to a consistent name stay in the SF underground. It’s begun, but you’ve only just seen the tip…
