The Festa de Yemanja takes place every February 2nd at Rio Vermelho in Bahia, Brazil, the heart of Afro Brazilian cultural traditions. Thousands gather to make their offerings to Yemanja and to ask for their prayers to be fulfilled. The day is filled with dancing, drumming and celebration.
