Build muscle strength, flexibility, and coordination in this class that blends dance styles from all over the world. Starting with a full-body warm up, the class will move through stretching, ab work, and conditioning, into a series of short dance combinations that teach aspects of diverse dance styles, from samba to belly dance to cabaret, while providing a complete cardio work-out. All levels of experience will enjoy this class – beginners are welcome!
Instructor Kristina Cañizares has been dancing and performing since the age of seven. Her versatile background includes belly dance, Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian, Latin jazz, Latin cabaret, modern, samba, Capoeira, and fire performance. She is founder and director of The Nekyia.
