The Master Narrative of Your Life, Your Challenge, Your Change

Humans are natural storytellers; studies show we process and retain information better when delivered in a narrative. We will explore the use of narratives and story tellers to explain who we are, find common ground across a range of beliefs and opinions when challenged, and give us the foundation to create the change we want to see in the world.

About Sandy Skees

Sandy Skees provides organizations, corporations and early stage companies with brand and messaging strategy, corporate social responsibility and sustainability consulting and communications innovation. Sandy works in the sustainability, cleantech and social sectors, creating programs that give organizations a way to focus, share and motivate change in the world—change that values people, respects planetary resources and fosters prosperity through campaigns that are relevant, authentic and transparent. Her expertise is in building accessible, inspirational messaging with compelling back-stories—narratives that increase support, encourage advocacy and ensure success.

Through work with Fortune 100 companies, early stage innovators and industry associations, Sandy has experience with corporate, citizen, NGO and governments on environmental issues, energy creation (solar and biofuels technology), energy management and the Smart Grid. She also has experience in corporate initiatives for risk mitigation around resource constraints, recycling, waste management, food and agriculture. he is currently managing director of the west coast for Fenton, a social change communications agency. Before joining Fenton, Sandy ran her own firm, Communications4Good, where she served early stage and Fortune 500 companies. Previously a partner at Porter Novelli, she managed the global HP account team in 20 cities/10 countries around the world.
