They’ve been waiting patiently a long time for us to come there, and I am happy to say the wait is over. Get ready South America! We’ll be there soon!”In its 21-year history Wilco has performed just once in South America, in 2005 at Rio de Janeiro’s TIM Festival. The October tour combines festival appearances and headlining concerts in Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina.Just prior to the South American tour a brief headlining run in September brings Wilco to the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco for a five-night stand, as well as three shows at Los Angeles’ Ace Theatre, plus additional concerts in Salt Lake City, Boise, Seattle and Portland.
