Description

In celebration of its 9th season, acclaimed aerial dance company Flyaway Productions is premiering new work and reconstructing highlights from the company's substantial repertory. "Whose Seeds These Are" (world premiere) is a dance piece that brings the issue of genetically modified food out of scientific and political circles and into the artistic realm. "Whose Seeds These Are" unites original composition by Pamela Z and steel sculpture designed by David Frederickson of Figureplant (recent recipient of an IZZY for his work with Flyaway last year) with the courageous dancing of the company to reveal deeper meanings about the world around us. The program also features a commissioned solo directed by Kathleen Hermesdorf and performed by Jo Kreiter, plus a spinning coats duet created by Leslie Seiters and Rachel Lincoln.
