Who Is ‘I’: A Journey of Self-Knowing | 8-Week Course

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Dharma College (see times)
Do you tell yourself a story about your life? Does it often focus on what has gone wrong and on who (or what) is to blame? If your story sometimes strikes you as stale or incomplete, you are like most of us: stuck in an old script, and a bit of a stranger to yourself!

In his unique and rich new book of teachings, Revelations of Mind, Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku offers new knowledge about the mind that cuts through our stories and takes us to the heart of the matter: Who is this ‘I’ anyway? Why is life plagued by problems? Is there no way to stop the stream of turbulent thoughts?

Join us on this gentle, and enjoyable 8-week journey as we transform confusion into confidence, clarity and inner peace. The course is based on Revelations of Mind and will introduce simple practices to calm the mind and senses, along with friendly and supportive discussion, dialogue, and weekly readings.

• Week One: The Importance of Mind

• Week Two: Who is this ‘I’ and is it in charge?

• Week Three: Patterns and Programs

• Week Four: Emotions and Thoughts

• Week Five: Problem-Making Mind, Part 1

• Week Six: Problem-Making Mind, Part 2

• Week Seven: The Freedom to Be

• Week Eight: A Path of New Knowing

No prerequisites; Open to all | Wednesdays, May 11-June 29, 5:30-7:00pm. Must register by first day of class, May 11th (or no later than week 2, May 18th), as this is a continuous learning course.

First week free for new students!!
