Our annual White Elephant Sale returns to the San Francisco Bay Area for the 55th time on March 1 and 2, 2014, with the Preview Sale happening on January 26. Organized and presented by the Oakland Museum Women’s Board, sale proceeds benefit the Oakland Museum of California.
Donations by the public make the White Elephant Sale possible, and year round our van travels to Bay Area neighborhoods and communities to accept donations of gently used good quality items. To schedule a free van pick up, call 510-839-5919.
The public will be able to drop off donations at our warehouse site during these scheduled drop-off dates and times. There are items we regrettably cannot accept, please see review this list of items we cannot accept to plan your donation.
Our last White Elephant Sale was a wonderful success, raising for the second consecutive year $1.8 million. In grateful appreciation, we wish to acknowledge the contributions of all our volunteers, donors and shoppers and thank them for their more than 50 years of loyalty and support.
Shoppers can pay for their White Elephant purchases using cash, checks with identification, debit cards and Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. American Express cards are not accepted.
