West Coast Craft is a new craft and design show featuring meticulously selected designers, artists, and craftspeople living and working on the West Coast. This is WCC’s inaugural year, with over 100 carefully selected vendors and 2,000 to 3,000 expected visitors.
West Coast Craft will take place on November 16 & 17, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the historic Fort Mason Festival Pavilion on the San Francisco waterfront. The event is free to the public and will feature unique works from West Coast designers, artists, and craftspeople including: Juniper Ridge, Taylor Stitch, Brendon Farrell, Bari Ziperstein (BZIPPY & Co.), Gravel & Gold and Tahiti Pehrson who will be showing a large scale, hand cut, paper installation.
Exhibitors are drawn from all over the West Coast, their works radiating the cool but sunny, laidback yet innovative tones evocative of the region. Using a variety of mediums, including wood, textiles, ceramics and metal, these designers create singular pieces that hover in the space between fine art and craft while exemplify the mood and aesthetics of the West Coast lifestyle.
“We want people to come to knock off their holiday lists, get inspired, and see the amazing work that West Coast craftspeople are creating right now, all in one place, with the beautiful San Francisco Bay as a backdrop,” said Paulina Nassar, Co-founder of West Coast Craft.
