Sim Van der Rijn is an architect, author, and artist. A Sausalito houseboat resident for 22 years. Professor of Architecture at UC Berkeley for 35 years, he initiated a watercolor class for students focusing on the natural environment. He says, “watercolor sketching outdoors helps me see inward and outward. Being in the moment, a fluid flow capturing form and light.”
