This lecture will explore the policy, legal, and environmental perspectives of water supply planning. Our speakers will explain the unique features of Marin’s water supply system and how this system might (or might not) promote our desire for water security and our goals regarding controlled growth.
Speakers will describe the elements of water policy decision making, including the politics at play. They will address the concerns raised by the development of various kinds of alternative water supplies. Finally, we will discuss the legal and other tools available to practitioners and citizens who want to help shape the water planning process.
