We'll start by demystifying the major fiber types through a step-by-step introduction to cotton, wool, silk, linen and their man-made counterparts. Next, we'll discuss woven fabrics vs. knit fabrics and how each of these are constructed. During the class you'll put together a useful swatch kit to reference in the future whenever a refresher is desired.

About Instructor
Geana Sieburger is a former Marketing Director of Britex Fabrics and instigator of Pop-up Britex. She was the Assistant Buyer of Britex Fabrics for four years after graduating from California College of the Arts in 2007. She is the owner of GDS Cloth Goods, a sewing and design studio highlighting her deep appreciation for fibers, textiles and design. Geana has partnered with local restaurants and small businesses to design custom wears, including collaborations with The Interval, The Mill and Dandelion Chocolate.
