W San Francisco launches WHAT SHE SAID, a dynamic Speaker Series on May 19 with Hero Shop’s Emily Holt

WHAT: W San Francisco announces the launch of WHAT SHE SAID, a series that highlights female leaders from the worlds of fashion, music, design, tech and more. This innovative series is a platform for women to reach the next generation of powerful female leaders. It evolved from W San Francisco’s “W Inspire” series, which began in 2013, and has featured dynamic conversations with the Bay Area’s most influential women, including Oakland Mayor Libby Schaff, Wells Fargo Senior Vice President Brenda Wright, San Francisco Giants’ Public Address Announcer Renel Brooks-Moon, and more. Adapted globally, W Inspire has brought power talk, W style, to hotels around the world and W San Francisco is pleased to re-introduce it as WHAT SHE SAID on May 19.

WHAT SHE SAID launches at W San Francisco with Hero Shop’s Emily Holt and Rawfully Organic’s Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram for May and June events. All events in the series are free and open to the public (on a first come basis), and each will feature dynamic discussion and the opportunity to mix, mingle and network with the high-caliber guest speakers. Details for the two upcoming events are:
• Emily Holt – May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
o Emily Holt is a journalist and the founder of Hero Shop, a fashion and lifestyle concept store in San Francisco. Her work has appeared in Vogue, W, WWD, The Wall Street Journal, Elle, Bon Appetit, Cherry Bombe and C magazine, among other titles. Holt received her master’s degree in journalism from New York University and currently lives near the beach in San Francisco.
• Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram - June 21 and June 22:
o Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram, founder of Rawfully Organic, is a pioneer in the local, organic food co-operative movement. With over 50 million YouTube views, this vegan sensation has taken the nation by storm and will now be releasing her first book The FullyRaw Diet with tips, tricks, and exclusive recipes not seen on her channels. She was recently recognized as the number 25 health and fitness influencer of 2015 by Greatist, alongside Michelle Obama, Rhonda Rousey, Deepak Chopra, Khloe Kardashian, and others. The June 22 event includes book launch for The FullyRaw Diet in conjunction with “No Beef Month,” a month-long meat-free promotion taking place at W San Francisco’s Signature restaurant, TRACE.
