Voice of Roma's 18th Annual CA Herdeljezi Balkan Romani Music Festival

Voice of Roma's Herderljezi Festival features an evening dance party (8:30 PM) with live music by the Sazet Band from NYC.
A Romani ("Gypsy") wedding band comprised of musicians from Macedonia. Sazet is renowned for their high-octane, "New York City-style" of music which blends traditional folk and Romani music from the Balkans with influences from classical, jazz, funk, and fusion styles of Western music.
Prior to the dance party, Sazet members will offer workshops in traditional Balkan Romani singing (3 PM) and instrumental music (4:30 PM). An educational panel discussion will take place at 6:15, followed by a 7:30 PM Romani dance workshop led by Voice of Roma's Sani Rifati.
