Description
It is one of the most important holidays in the Vietnamese culture, and is celebrated by Vietnamese communities around the world! Tet Nguyen Dan (also known as the Vietnamese Lunar New Year) is a traditional holiday celebrated annually by the Vietnamese to mark the beginning of both spring and the new lunar year. Similar to the Chinese New Year, Tet follows the lunar calendar and falls around late January or early February. And similar to the American Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday traditions, Tet is about getting together with family and friends to exchange gifts, share warm wishes, pay respect to each other, pay homage to their ancestors, enjoy good food, share laughter, and partake in many special holiday practices.
