Sunnyvale folk-pop singer-songwriter Vienna Teng is back in the South Bay, touring with her brand new album. Teng's singing style is similar to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, though her voice is softer, and she brings a more chamber-pop, orchestral approach to her music, particularly on her newest album, Aims. The release draws on a wider variety of styles than her piano-folk sound of the past. Songs like "In The 99" and "Never Look Away" mix in electronica beats, while "Oh Mama No" and "The Hymn of Acxiom" have a more dreamy-pop sound. (Amulya Datla)
